"The Boys Running Crew" at the Kelly Elementary School in Chelsea, Massachusetts was created in the fall of 2015 as an after school program for boys to learn how to run, train & stay in shape. The Boys had been asking teachers for a program for years & so the "crew" was born. Our first crew of 22 boys & 3 coaches meets twice a week & we learn about health, running & how to train correctly. We look forward to continuing the Boys Running Crew in the spring season!

The 2015 Ras na hEireann U.S.A. 5Km; The Race of Ireland & The 2014 Marathon Sports Somerville Jingle Run was pleased to recently donate $3,500 to the Somerville Youth & Recreation Foundation, founded by Dave Mangan. George Scarpelli of the Somerville Recreation Department accepted the check on behalf of The Somerville Youth & Recreation Foundation.

The 2015 Marathon Sports "Somerville Jingle Bell Run" awarded the "Somerville Toys for Local Children Program" $10,000.00 at it's annual Christmas Party Fundraiser at the Holiday Inn in Somerville, MA.... the donation is to be used for new toys for disadvantaged children in Somerville for Christmas this year.
